Colin O'Neill 

joined the Fire Service in 2012 as a volunteer in his rural community of Mount Lorne, Yukon. That is when the spark of fire response and investigation caught his interest and a passion grew. Within a few years Colin was elected by his team to be the Chief of the department. Since 2016 he has been Deputy Fire Marshal for the Government of Yukon and in recent years the Senior Fire Investigator for the Territory. 

He still volunteers for his community hall while conducting inspection, training, contributing to special operations and of course fire investigations throughout Yukon on behalf of the Fire Marshal's Office. 

This new appointment on the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators Board is an opportunity Colin is excited about, and he is eager to build the chapter within the North as well as benefit from new mentors and industry partners contributing to cause of fire investigation.
