WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
A student member is a person who applies for membership in CAFI, and is a full time student attending an accredited college or university, and who is currently in a Fire Technology Course, or Fire Protection Program. The applicant shall apply on a specific form developed for student applicants, provided by the Executive Secretary of the Association. The membership fees shall be 50% of those of a regular member for the given year(s) the person is qualified as a student in the Fire Program(s). This section of membership does not apply to persons attending college or university but are NOT attending course relating to a Fire Technology or Protection Program.
Final approval of the application and any renewals of membership are subject to the review by the Membership Committee, as to the applicant's qualifications and experience as established by the Committee in its criteria as well as compliance with the Code of Ethics of this association.
